‘Danuwath Bodhu Druwan’ to Educate Children

To provide essential Buddhist books necessitated for Dhamma Schools located in remote areas in Sri Lanka, many libraries are established attaching them to the school premises. In the course of preliminary investigations it was found that a few temples had Dhamma schools attached to it and none of these schools had libraries.  Entailing this lack of resources, many libraries were established covering 3 Dhamma Schools in and around Palugasvewa in the North Central Province. The main selections were Dhamma books suitable for schooling children, other children books are collected to inculcate the reading habit among children. Progress of the libraries, the involvement of the children in referring and use of the books are being monitored and the donors continue to donate collections of books.
