Help to temples in rural area

There are many Buddhist temples in the rural areas in Sri Lanka, where the monks continue to build up ethical, principled and disciplined community in the surrounding by overcoming all the difficulties and hardships while acting as the connecting body of the community. The importance of assisting the development of the temples is that it greatly impacts the development of the area as a whole. The objective of this programme is to assist rural temples by providing the required necessities to them such as water tanks, water pumps, pipes and fittings and accessories. The requirements that are necessitated to successfully conduct their annual Katina Pinkama are provided by the Association. Minor civil and repair works to improve sanitary facilities are carried out to add some novelty to the appearance of the temples. To encourage the participation of the surrounded community, Shramadana campaigns are conducted.
